    Excellent job on repairing my car, and the cost was well money spent. Chris' Engine Auto Repair gets the job done. I'm not easily swayed, if you are skeptical, check it out and I promise you will be back, over and over again for servicing your car.

    This staff was polite and they may have excellent mechanics, I can’t really speak to that. My issue with them is that they charged me $175 to “diagnose” the fact that I needed a new battery, Wow. Probably took 5 minutes. This fee wasn’t deducted or reduced after I bought a new battery from them. Also they flat out refused to test drive or fix my brakes because my vehicle is rusty and they “would be liable if something breaks”??? Sure it’s rusty. BFD. Took it to big o tires and they took care of my brake job without any hesitation, with a reasonable explanation of the labor and parts required, and all for a very reasonable price.

He’s always thoughtful in his recommendations, meets or beats his estimates, and is quick to tell you if he thinks the work would be better completed by a dealership. He’s in it for the long-run with customers - building relationships through quality work and truthfulness.

    I am very pleased with the depth of knowledge and complete approach to my truck's rebuild performed at Chris's Engine & Auto Repair. Great communication as he got deeper into the project. Great job and on time. By way of an update: Chris's Engine & Auto Repair has serviced my truck's scheduled needs flawlessly and when I did have a 'roadside adventure', they were able to analyze and fix the problem quickly. My truck was only out of service for a short time. Very happy, I am , I am.

    Great service and customer care. I have been taking my cars to this shop for 6 years. They explain the work they recommend and give options for us to consider. I never feel like I am being rushed into getting some expensive service done

    Chris and his staff were incredibly helpful when my car broke down on the highway with me and my 2 kids. They gave us a ride back to Walnut Creek, and the car was all fixed in a couple days. The price was very reasonable too. I would highly recommend this shop, and I will be back the next time I need help with my car even though they are a bit out of the way since I live in a different city. The longer drive is well worth it!

    If you want a professional that has been in the business for a long time go get your car fixed with Chris's Engine. Straight forward and reasonable Chris is now my go to shop for both my Japanese and domestic car needs.

    We just had one of our vehicles serviced here. We know from experience that it will be properly serviced. This time there were issues that needed attention. They diagnosed the problem, obtained the needed parts and returned our vehicle to it's sweet running again and more quickly than anticipated. Yes, it wasn't cheap, but, good auto mechanics don't come cheap.

    I originally went to Chris for oil change. Since I have used him for all vehicle maintenance. They do excellent work they always give u uptodate reports of service that might b needed in the future. They will give u a ride home if needed. Always friendly

    I found Chris's from the AAA website, they're an approved shop. Zack mans the front desk, we spoke several times. He's kind, professional, knowledgeable and practical. I spoke to him on a Friday and he said they would order a part, it should arrive Tuesday and I could pick it up Tuesday. On Tuesday I got a call midday it was ready. Super impressed by the prompt turnaround and accuracy of the timeline. I also asked if he could have a technician check on my brakes since Big O told me they were practically metal to metal and would need new pads and rotors. The tech checked and zack let me know that wasn't the case, I had a few more months. He told me if a family member had asked him, this is what he would tell them. I really really appreciated the honesty and the compassion. They could have told me yes replace it all and just took the sale. I'll be recommending Chris's anytime I can and likely be back for my brakes (despite moving out of Benicia)
